American federal labeling standards require ice cream to contain a minimum of 10% milk fat.
French Ice Cream
French ice cream is made with eggs so it's thick and custardy.
Is made with a base of milk, cream, and sugar, and flavored with fruit and nut purees and other flavourings. It is generally lower in fat than other styles of ice cream.
Frozen yogurt is a frozen dessert made with yogurt and sometimes other dairy products. It is usually more tart than ice cream, as well as lower in fat.
Frozen custard is a cold dessert similar to ice cream, but made with eggs in addition to cream and sugar. It is usually kept at a warmer temperature compared to ice cream, and typically has a denser consistency.
